What is Elosia?
Elosia is a subscription-based nutrition advice service. Our method? Your pee. We provide monthly deliveries of home urine tests, which you can process using our app, which gives our users personalised nutrition and lifestyle advice, based upon their body's specific needs.
What does the product include?
When you sign up for an Elosia subscription, we’ll send you a pack of our test strips, plus access to the Elosia App, website and services.
How does Elosia work?
The Elosia app couldn’t be easier to use!
1. Once you receive your home urine test strips through the post, download the Elosia App and sign up for an account.
2. Pee on one of the Elosia Strips, wait 60 seconds, then use the Elosia App to scan it.
3. The App will then process your results, giving you immediate results based on your ketone, hydration, nutrition, vitamin C and electrolyte levels.
4. From there, the app’s clever algorithm will give you your very own personalised nutrition plan. You can use this data to make healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle.
5. Use your Elosia pee test strips once a week to see how our advice is helping you maintain a healthier lifestyle.

Which parameters does Elosia test for?
Elosia lets you test for five different parameters to give you an insight into your body’s overall health:
Ketone levels
Hydration
Nutrition and pH
Vitamin C
Electrolytes
Quantities of biomarkers within your urine will change depending upon your overall wellbeing when you use our strips each week, so no two tests will be exactly the same.

How is the advice personalised for me?
The advice you get from the Elosia app is completely tailored to your needs thanks to the information you share with us when you sign up. We run it through our clever algorithm, giving you a plan for you which will understand you better and be able to give you more personalised support as time goes by.
When should I use Elosia?
We recommend testing your pee with Elosia once a week - on the same day, at the same time if possible. We also think you’ll get the most out of your Elosia strips if you run the test your first pee of the day, collecting your sample while mid-stream if you can. This will not only provide more accurate results, but make it easier for our app to track the impact of any changes you make to your lifestyle based on our advice.
How can my phone camera analyse the strip?
Elosia strips are split into five sections, each of which will turn a different colour in reaction to your pee. You can then use your phone camera to scan the strip within the Elosia app, which will run that clever algorithm we’ve been talking about, which uses image recognition to detect the specific colour gradients of each part of the strip and process your results.
Can the environment affect the accuracy of the camera?
The Elosia Image Recognition algorithm has been designed to accurately detect colour change under most common lightning conditions. However, we would still recommend scanning your Elosia Test Strips in a well-lit environment to ensure the most accurate results possible.
How long can I store my Elosia strips for?
We recommend using your Elosia strips within 18 months of receiving them. You should store your strips in a dry place at room temperature. Each Elosia strip comes in a single opaque package, giving them the best protection from the most common environmental conditions. Each package also contains a desiccant bag to stop them from being affected by humidity.
What if I forget to scan the strip directly after the 60 seconds is up?
The optimal time to scan your test strip is 60 seconds after peeing. While we wouldn’t recommend scanning your strip before then, you will still get relatively accurate results within 90 seconds.

How do I receive my order?
Whether you’re ordering a one-off pack, or a longer subscription, you’ll receive four Elosia test strips each month in an envelope that fits handily through your letterbox.

How long does an Elosia subscription last?
You may purchase a one-off health MOT, which contains four test strips, or sign up to a 4 or 12-month subscription which includes one envelope per month.
Can I cancel my subscription?
If you have purchased a 4-month or 12-month subscription, you have 30 days since the date of purchase to cancel your subscription.

How does payment work?
Payment will depend on which subscription you opt for. If you just want the one-month health MOT, we’ll take a one-off payment on purchase. If you go for our 4 month or 12-month subscription option, which comes at a lower monthly charge, you would pay the total cost upfront and receive monthly deliveries.
